Who we are

Cookies and Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how many people use the site and which pages they visit. Google Analytics sets cookies in your browser (named _ga and _ga_<ID>) that distinguish one visitor from another, and it collects information such as the pages you view, the device and browser you use and your approximate location (derived from your IP address). This information is processed by Google on our behalf. Postcode pages include an embedded Google Map. When it loads, Google may set its own cookies and receive your IP address. Our pages also load some code libraries from the jsDelivr content delivery network, which receives your IP address in order to send the files to your browser.

Your location

If you tap Use my location, your browser asks your permission and then shares your device's latitude and longitude with us. We use it only to find the nearest postcode and show sold prices around it. The coordinates are sent in the page address (URL) of that request. We do not use them for anything else. The contact form

If you use our contact form, we receive your name, email address and message by email. We use them only to reply to you and deal with your enquiry, on the basis of our legitimate interest in responding to messages people send us. We do not add you to a mailing list or share your details with anyone else, except our email and hosting providers who handle the data on our behalf.

Where our data comes from

Sold prices and property addresses come from HM Land Registry Price Paid Data, a public record of residential property sales in England and Wales. Inflation figures come from the Office for National Statistics, and postcode locations from the ONS National Statistics Postcode Lookup. All are published under the Open Government Licence v3.0. We do not collect information about property owners or buyers from any other source.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have rights to access, correct or delete your personal information, and to object to or restrict how we use it. To use any of these rights, email info@mihomes.co.uk. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).
